What does our PPC Management Process look like?

PPC advertising is an ever-changing field. While it may give you the instant gratification of being on “Page 1” of search results, it requires a steady hand and a vigilant team in order to stay ahead of the trends. While it has the potential to be a powerful marketing tool, with the smallest mismanagement your campaign can go downhill fast and you’ll end up spending a fortune with no measurable return.

In fact, it doesn’t matter if you’re a small business or a Fortune 500 company. PPC levels the playing field when it comes to the digital advertising landscape. This means that the one who utilizes the best and most effective tactics will ultimately win – not the one with the biggest wallet. Few advertising mediums give business owners this opportunity.

By teaming with the right experts, you can rest easy knowing that your campaign is being regularly optimized. Our PPC specialists are constantly analyzing the industry and ensuring that our systems and tactics are on the cutting edge. In addition to the latest tactics, we also utilize the most sophisticated technologies in the industry.

This commitment to excellence gives you the peace of mind you need to focus more on your business and less on your marketing campaigns and how to outperform your competition. The Process at Envision PPC Boost is as follows:

Best Practices

We know all about best practices in pay per click management. Not only do we follow them, but we also test them, over and over again to make sure that if we say something is best for your account – we have the data to prove it.

Best People

Anyone can claim to be a “PPC Manager”, but that doesn’t mean that they have the skills or experience to deliver the very best for your campaign. All of our account managers have proven their skills long before we even consider letting them near your account. It goes without saying that we only hire Google Adwords Certified staff. That’s a given, an entry requirement.

But it’s in the same way that a Drivers License doesn’t make you a good driver, Adwords certification is the very least we demand. We test our staff rigorously, follow our own ever developing best practice methodology, and benchmark every account against its peers.

Best Technology

Professional Adwords account management needs professional tools. You wouldn’t consider surgery with a home first aid kit – you would insist on the best. Nor should you put your Adwords account in the hands of managers using amateur tools. We’ve tested 12 commercial PPC management platforms and none could meet our standards – so we built our own, and we continue to invest and develop it to give our account managers the best tools we possibly can.

Common PPC Questions

What is PPC marketing?

PPC stands for pay per click. This means PPC marketing is a form of advertisement where businesses pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked.

Simply put, pay per click (PPC) is a way for businesses to increase their traffic through payment instead of organically.

Some example of PPC marketing are:

  • Google Ads
  • Facebook Ads
  • Bing Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • Twitter Ads
What is Google Ads?
Google Ads, also known as Google AdWords, is a form of advertisement that falls under Pay-per-Click (PPC) marketing.

The Google AdWords platform allows businesses to bid for a specific keyword in order to display their website’s content, services, products, etc. on Google search results.

Google Ads Vs Google AdWords?
Google AdWords and Google Ads are the same things. On July 24th, 2018, Google rebranded Google AdWords, where the logo and the name changes. Now Google AdWords is known as Google Ads.

If you hear people use Google AdWords, don’t worry. They are talking about Google Ads and are accustomed to the old name.

What is the difference between Google Ads and SEO?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can sometimes be confused with Google Ads. They’re both a form of marketing that helps you increase your traffic and be found on Google. However, there are some differences between them.

Google Ads is a form of pay per click (PPC) marketing. It is a process of paying for a specific keyword. In general, the higher the bid the more likely you’ll be found on top of Google’s search result and have more traffic. Google Ads you are basically buying clicks.

SEO is different where it is the process of optimizing your website so it naturally shows in the top search results and. Unlike Google Ads, SEO does not have a fee for each click on your website.

How does Google Ads work?

Google Ads uses a bidding system to determine the ad position. This ranking position is determined by two factors, which are the Maximum Bid & Quality Score of the ad.

Having a higher bid will help you get a higher ad position than someone who paid less.

Also, having a higher quality score can help you rank higher than someone who has a lower quality score.

In general, businesses that have the best combination of both will rank highest.

How long does it take to see results from Google Ads?
Usually, results from Google Ads are fast. You can see clicks quickly. However, clicks won’t convert into leads / sales instantly.

This is because people take their time and do research.

Usually, we see about a month delay for people finding a service/product for the first time and then making their first purchase. The higher the cost of the service/product the longer the purchase cycle.

How much does Google Ads cost to implement?
The price of Google Ads can vary. It can depend on your industry and how competitive the keywords is. The more competitive keyword or industry, the higher the price of your campaign.

On the bright side, Google Search Ads, like most PPC advertising, only charges you when someone clicks on your ad. So it only charges you when the ads are working. If people see your ad but don’t click on it, you won’t be charged.

Are Google Ads worth it?
Yes, Google Ads are totally worth it. When it comes to marketing on Google, there are about 5.6 Billion Searches per day.

Investing Google Ads can help you get in front of that large audience of searchers and get more customers. For businesses that invest in Google Ads, they experience high ROI where some made $8 for every $1 they invested in ads.

That’s what makes Google AdWords the most popular out of all the PPC advertising.

What is Ad rank?

Ad rank is calculated by Google and can influence several factors which include:

  • Ad auction eligibility: Google Ads looks at the quality of the ad and determines the Ad Rank threshold, the ad eligibility to compete in an ad auction. With a lower Ad rank increase the risk of not being qualified to be displayed.
  • Cost-per-click (CPC): Having a higher Ad rank can influence your pay per click. A higher-quality ad can lead to a lower cost-per-click. Meaning the better your ad, the more you will save.
  • Ad position: A good rank can help you have a higher position in Google’s search results. Having a higher search position can determine how many people click on your ad.
  • Eligibility for ad extensions and other ad formats: Your Ad rank also determines if you are eligible for ad extensions and other benefits. One example if your ad will be shown with site links.
What determine Ad Rank?

Ad Rank is important when it comes to your Google Ads. If you want to be seen, you need to improve your Ad Rank. You can do this by impacting these factors:

  • Your Bid: Because Google Ads is a bidding system, having a higher bid can get you a higher Ad Rank. You can practically pay your way to the top. But, most people don’t have a million-dollar budget, and it won’t get you a high ROI.
  • Quality of your ads and landing page: Although bidding can get you on top, quality matters. Google uses a measurement called Quality Score which is computed based on the relevancy or usefulness of your ad. Someone bidding the same amount as another business can be put in a higher position if they have a higher quality score.
  • Ad Rank Threshold: To maintain the quality of ads, Google sets a minimum threshold. If a business’s ad does not pass a certain threshold, it will not be shown at all in Google’s search results.
  • Context of the search: Ad Rank can be determined by things like the search term, location of the search, the type of device, time, the searcher’s intent, other SERPs, and other searcher’s attributed.
  • Ad extension and format: With Google Ads, a business has the option to add extensions and other formats to their ads. Then, Google will determine the usefulness of them and include it when determining the Ad Rank.
How do I track my Google Ads results?
Before you get the results from Google Ads or from any PPC advertisements, you need to determine what you want to track. You have the options to track certain conversions like purchases, calls, sign-ups, or button clicks.

After you determine what you want to track, there many marketing tools to get an analysis on your advertisements. The most popular is using Google Analytics or just simply using Google Ads.

Most use Google Analytics when it comes to getting a good analysis on their PPC campaigns.

Why should I hire someone to do my Google Ads?
Anyone can do Google Ads, but it can be more beneficial to hire a Google Ads expert. Here are some benefits:

  • Higher ROI
  • Don’t need to worry about losing traffic to your website
  • Have a professional in Google Ads do all the work for you
  • Have more time for yourself and your business
  • Get faster results
  • Audit for any issues
  • They know Google Ads best practices, experienced dealing with Google policies, and are up to date with Google Ad strategies and constant Google algorithm changes.
